CHEEC research capabilities include database management and applications development for environmental health research projects.

Databases are designed and implemented emphasizing Oracle Database Products and Microsoft Access. SAS is employed for biostatistical applications.

With guidance from the University of Iowa Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development, CHEEC utilizes a fee for service to meet the needs of researchers who would like to work directly with CHEEC data management services.

CHEEC has worked cooperatively with the National Cancer Institute, the National Institute for Environmental Health Sciences, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Iowa Departments of Natural Resources and Public Health, and many University of Iowa departments designing and implementing research projects that are data intensive. Links and examples of these projects can be viewed on the CHEEC Research page.
