Muhammed Ali Sit

Muhammed Ali SitMr. Sit is a second year Masters in Computer Science student working on hydroinformatics research and applications at Hydroinformatics Lab under IIHR — Hydroscience & Engineering. His research involves scientific visualization, time-series forecasting of hydrologic data and computer vision. He is interested in applying current state of the art deep learning approaches in earth sciences. He is also working on various web mining projects where knowledge is being discovered from social data.

With CHEEC, Mr. Sit is working on an automated well forecasting system. The system enables authorities and public to predict aquifer depths for a point within the whole state of Iowa while providing historic aquifer depth and water quality data for previously dug wells.
