Your support will allow CHEEC to continue and expand our efforts, including:

• Run programs like Get the Lead Out, which allows Iowans to test their home's drinking water for lead via a mail-in test kit
• Provide additional free and reduced cost drinking water quality tests to Iowans
• Collect, organize, and use pertinent laboratory data on the presence and concentration of environmental contaminants
• Make environmental contaminant data accessible and explorable for the public through sites like Iowa Trust Your Tap and the Iowa Well Forecasting System  
• Develop advanced laboratory methods to detect contaminants and help differentiate their sources
• Conduct studies to relate the occurrence of a disease to contaminant exposure and to ensure that other factors known to cause the disease in question can be ruled out
• Implement public education programs on environmental health issues
